Projects relating to education and training
Education is increasingly viewed as a lifelong process. The studies listed below range from evaluations of school-based interventions intended to increase pupil attainment to training programmes designed to enable adults to compete more effectively in the labour market:
Exploring the effects of education on the income, health and survival of older men
An examining of intergenerational transmission of education and, separately, a consideration of variations in subjective well-being by ethnicity and migration ancestry.
Evaluating the relative effectiveness of blended learning and face-to-face tuition on skills; examination of skills gain and loss following training
Evaluating the effect of a parental engagement intervention on child attainment
Evaluating the employment, earnings and welfare effects of a piloted package of in-work support
