A brief bio
Richard Dorsett is Professor of Economic Evaluation at the University of Westminster and Visiting Professor at University College London Institute of Education. He has more than 20 years’ research experience, mostly in the fields of employment, welfare and education/training. He specialises in empirical research, applying econometric and statistical models to data in order to test theories and uncover patterns.
From 2008 until 2016 he was Principal Research Fellow and Director of Policy Evaluation at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, where he is now a Fellow. Before that, from 2000, he was Research Director at the Policy Studies Institute, also in London. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Manchester.
